The Heynes Family 22nd March 2017

It is going to be a long time (if ever) that we look down the Close and not think "How strange, Mike's not there". For so many years we have seen him hopping in and out of his car, moving the caravan around , doing the garden, walking the dog and chatting to us all. As so many people did, we took comfort from the fact that he was there - when we started leaving the boys alone for the first time, we would look down the Close and say "That's ok, Mike's there" and the boys would know where to go in the event of any problem. Fish bones in the throat, car accidents, speeding motorists, nothing was too much for him. Added to all of that, a wicked sense of humour and the ability to wind us all up beautifully made a complete package which we are going to miss so much. The Close, and our lives are so much the emptier without him. Love and strength to Wendy. XXXXX
